Ransomville woman indicted in sexting case

LOCKPORT - A Ransomville woman accused of sending photos of her breasts and buttocks to an underage recipient in Newfane pleaded not guilty Thursday to an indictment.

Maria C. Ray, 28, of C Street, was charged with two counts each of disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.

The photos were sent electronically during March of this year, Niagara County Deputy District Attorney Holly E. Sloma said.

Ray was allowed to remain free on her own recognizance pending further court action. A tentative trial date was set for May 1.
