Western New York native and Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is selling his Hamburg mansion.
Kane's 5,878 square-foot lakeside home on Old Lake Shore Road is listed for $3.2 million. The 28-year-old South Buffalo native purchased the home for $2.86 million in 2012, and there's been "probably half a million dollars in improvements" since, according to Dennis Dargavel, a broker with Hunt Real Estate who's handling the listing.
"The activity has been good – we've had some interest in it," Dargavel said.
The home is believed to be the most expensive home on the Western New York market, passing former Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams' $3 million Aurora home that is still for sale.
Some of the home’s outdoor amenities include a giant patio, basketball court, in-ground pool, boat launch and boat house. Inside there’s a sauna, steam room and home theater.
The house went on the market on Oct. 24.
Here’s the listing, which includes photos and a virtual tour of the home.
Kane reportedly spent last summer in Chicago instead of staying in Buffalo to avoid making any negative headlines. Kane was accused of rape in 2015, and accused of assaulting a cab driver in 2009.
In July, Kane also put his Chicago condo on the market for $2.15 million. He purchased the two-bedroom, 2,076-square-foot unit in the Trump International Hotel and Tower for $2.06 million in September 2008.
