A member of the Bailey Boys gang was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for his role in two shootings five years ago.
Eddie Allen, 27, of Buffalo, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny to a racketeering conspiracy charge
As part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Allen admitted firing into a group of people he believed were rival LRGP gang members and striking one of the men, who was paralyzed and eventually died.
A few months later, Allen and other members of the Bailey Boys, who operated in an area bounded by Winspear Avenue, the Kensington Expressway, Eggert Road and Main Street, robbed people at a private party on Rounds Avenue and shot an unarmed man
Allen's sentence is the result of a prosecution by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Meghan A. Tokash and Michael P. Felicetta and an investigation by the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force, Buffalo Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
