Buffalo police make arrest after attempted robbery on Sussex Street

Kennon King, 31, of Bailey Avenue was arrested by Buffalo Police on weapon and other charges after he allegedly tried to rob a man on Sussex Street near Deerfield Avenue about 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Buffalo Police arrest report.

King was taken into custody on Fernhill Avenue. Police reported he had a silver derringer and a knife.

King was charged with unlawful possession of a weapons,  attempted second-degree robbery and fourth-degree possession of a weapon and menacing. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center Wednesday night.
