Flexo Transparent, a Buffalo company that makes multi-colored flexible packaging for food and retail products, will get $354,000 in tax breaks from the Erie County Industrial Development Agency for a $6.2 million expansion of its Seneca Street factory.
The company, which has 115 employees at its 120,000-square-foot facility at 1146 Seneca St., plans to increase the size of its factory by about 14 percent and add six new jobs over the next two years.
The company also plans to buy a new 10-color printing press and other production and storage equipment that will make Flexo more competitive and allow it to take on more work.
Flexo hopes to begin construction on the addition shortly. The new facility is expected to be completed in late 2017 or early 2018, company officials said.
