Kids can create something out of gift boxes at Herschell Carrousel Museum

NORTH TONAWANDA - After you've opened your presents, it's OK to play with the boxes at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum during "Cardboard Creations" week.

Kids are encouraged to put aside their cool gifts, bring the cardboard gift boxes to the museum, then use their imaginations to create anything with the supplies provided during the Christmas break, from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 to Dec. 30, at 180 Thompson St. Workshop participation is included in the regular admission, $6 for adults and $3 for children ages two and up.

The "STEM Snow Days: Cardboard Creations" event is open to all ages. It will also be the last chance to ride the carousel before the museum closes for the season. More information is available at
