After a decade-long break, Buffalo's BeArthur will reunite for a one-night only concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 26 in Buffalo Iron Works (49 Illinois St.).
For the band's first public performance in 10 years, the original eight member lineup, now scattered across the country, will play tracks from its 2006 debut record "Welcome to the Ongoing," the never heard sophomore follow-up and more.
During BeArthur's run from 2004 to 2007, the self-described "jazzy, dance-funk" outfit could be found frequently performing at a number of Sabres games and Thursday at the Square concerts, as well as the New Year's Eve ball drop in downtown Buffalo.
Joining the group for the evening will be Forealists. The funky, party-pop outfit, which features BeArthur members Kevin Urso and Rocco DellaNeve, will also be ending its hiatus for the gig. Lead singer DellaNeve has spent the better part of the band's three-year break touring the world with artists like Gin Wigmore and Cody Simpson in addition to the Buffalo-rooted, genre-blending act Reign of Kindo. Bassist Zuri Appleby has been busy on the road as a member of Nick Jonas' touring band.
