Pfalzer will play for USA in a two-game series with Canada

Getzville native Emily Pfalzer made another USA Hockey roster. The defender will be part of Team USA for a two-game series with Canada.

The teams will play at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich., then meet again at 7 p.m., Monday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, Ontario.

Since falling to Canada in overtime, 3-2, and earning a silver medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the U.S. Women’s National Team has played Canada in five international events (two IIHF Women's World Championships and three Four Nations Cups), winning four of five titles and seven of 10 games overall.

Pfalzer, who is also captain of the Buffalo Beauts in the NWHL, has played for Team USA in two IIHF Women's World Championships, winning gold in 2015 and 2016, and in three Four Nations Cups, winning gold in 2015 and 2016 and silver in 2014.
