Kelly M. Cooper and Soe Maung Maung were married at 2 p.m. on July 9 in St. Joseph’s University Church, Buffalo. Guests gathered for a reception at Asbury Hall at Babeville. The Rev. Jacob Ledwin of Buffalo heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Mary Lee Cooper and the late Mark G. Cooper of Buffalo. The bridegroom’s parents are Khin San Win and Mya Soe of Yangon, Burma. The bride, a graduate of Kenmore West High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and anthropology from Syracuse University and also earned a master’s degree in education from the University at Buffalo. The bride is an English as a new language teacher for Buffalo Public Schools. The groom, a graduate of Tharkayta No. 2 High School, is an owner and chef at Kyel Sein Hein Restaurant. After a trip to Montreal, the couple have made their home in Buffalo.
