Rising Los Angeles band Local Natives will make its Buffalo debut at 7 p.m. March 17 in the Town Ballroom (681 Main St.).
The dreamy, harmony-rich band is on tour in support of its uplifting September released record "Sunlit Youth." The album is the first batch of new music shared by the five-piece since its dark, breakthrough sophomore album "Hummingbird" in 2013.
Since surfacing in 2010 with its buzz-worthy debut "Gorilla Manor," the group's blend of multilayered vocals, evolving Afro-pop rhythms and booming choruses has drawn comparisons to indie-rock peers like Fleet Foxes, Yeasayer and Grizzly Bear.
Tickets will go on sale for $25-$27 at noon Dec. 16 (box office, Ticketfly or charge by phone at 852-3900).
