A Buffalo man without a valid driver's license drove 108 mph on the Thruway on Tuesday night after a road rage incident and was charged with gun and drug possession, State police said.
Troopers stopped Patrick D. Casanova, 23, at about 7:50 p.m. on Interstate-90. He had a loaded, .22-caliber handgun, marijuana and stolen license plates, State police said.
Authorities did not provide any further detail about the circumstances of the road rage incident.
Casanova was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding. He was arraigned in West Seneca Town Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He's due back in court Friday.
