Rick Springfield is set to bring his "Stripped Down" 2016 tour to town at 8 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Riviera Theatre (67 Webster St., North Tonawanda).
The intimate and personal performance will include interactive media and storytelling from the 30-year career of the hard-working musician turned power-pop heartthrob, as well as a post-show Q&A session.
The Australian born songwriter/actor has sold more than 25 million albums and recorded a number of Top 40 hits, including his 1981 breakthrough classic "Jessie's Girl," throughout his three decade-long career. The Grammy Award-winning Springfield released his 18th studio album, the loose and versatile "Rocket Science," in early 2016.
As an actor, Springfield was recently seen in “Ricki and the Flash” and HBO’s “True Detective,” but may perhaps still be best known for his role as Dr. Noah Drake on “General Hospital.”
Tickets are $39-$46 (box office, RivieraTheatre.org or charge by phone at 692-2413). The limited number of VIP tickets have sold out.
