Civil disobedience has a strong history in U.S.
I have always felt a strong sense of civic pride that the City of Buffalo played a central role in the Underground Railroad. The citizens of Buffalo offered aid to people escaping deplorable conditions, even though those people were here illegally.
Those early citizens of Buffalo were breaking the law, but civil disobedience has always had a strong history in America, beginning with the Founding Fathers. Moral ethics trumps the law of the land every time.
