D. Arthur Marinucci, 85, retired union carpenter

NIAGARA FALLS – D. Arthur Marinucci, of Rushford, a retired union carpenter, died Sunday in Buffalo General Medical Center. He was 85.

Born in Niagara Falls, he attended Niagara Falls schools and served in the Navy from 1948 to 1952.

Known to everyone as Art, he was a member of Carpenters Local 280 in Buffalo and worked for Sicoli & Massaro Construction at various project sites in the area. He also helped family and friends with home construction and renovations.

A former Lewiston resident, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

His wife of 44 years, the former Angeline T. Massaro, died in 1998.

Surviving are three sons, Don A., Richard A. and Michael A.; a sister, Martha Giambattista; a brother, Robert; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave.
