Pa Lu is the latest Western New York scholastic soccer star to earn All-American honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Lu, a senior, helped International Prep at Grover win its fourth straight Section VI soccer championship. The first team All-New York State and first team All-Region selection capped his career with 32 goals and 21 assists as he helped the Presidents to a 19-2 campaign.
Lu is the third soccer star from the area to earn All-American honors, joining girls Class A state co-players of the year Madisyn Pezzino of Grand Island and Marissa Birzon of Williamsville East.
In addition to Lu, several others also earned either All-Region or All-State honors.
Noah Keem of Sweet Home earned second team All-State/Region honors. Garret Robinson of Grand Island earned a spot on the All-State third team, while Canisius’ Max Montante is a fourth-team selection along with Clarence’s Sam Sutherland.
Bryce Schiltz of East Aurora earned second team All-State Small Schools, while Newfane’s Trevor Moreland (fourth team) and Wilson’s Cesar Carlin (fifth team) also received All-State Small School laurels.
