NIAGARA FALLS - Why wait until midnight?
Families can ring in the new year with family-friendly events from 4 to 10 p.m. Dec. 31 in the Niagara Falls Conference and Event Center, 101 Old Falls St. Guests will be welcomed via the First Street entrance.
The Old Falls Street Family Fun New Year's Eve Celebration will have a countdown to 2017 with a balloon drop at 10 p.m. and sparkling juice to ring in the new year. Guests will also be treated to complimentary holiday hats and noise makers.
Presale tickets are $6 for guests ages 4 and up. Children three and under are free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $8 at the door. Tickets may be purchased in advance through Dec. 30 online or in person at the Conference and Event Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 27 to Dec. 30.
Admission includes a DJ and dance floor, a petting zoo, inflatable slide and bounce houses, airbrush tattoos for children, free popcorn, juggling and magic show, balloon animals, a photo booth, arts and crafts, an indoor snowball fight, interactive games and more.
Jason Murgia, general manager of Old Falls Street USA and the Conference and Event Center, said this is the fourth year the family-friendly event has been offered as an alternative for families with young children. Murgia said the event is starting two hours earlier this year to allow for more family activities inside the Event Center.
