Mohawk Place is set to welcome the debut installment of a new monthly series dedicated to showing the talents of local electronic producers and DJs. Hosted by Program, the kick-off edition of Got Beats? will feature live sets from beat makers Mostro, CeeGee and Vice Versa. With a rotating collection of producers on tap for future showcases, the fresh series is a great excuse to dip your foot into the local beat making scene.

The economically titled alt-country outfit the CPX (Country Punk Extravaganza) will bring its now annual Christmas gig back to the seasoned music club for a holiday weekend pregame showcase. Joining the rollicking group will be the reunited (for one-night only) Son of the Sun as well as long-time Buffalo rockers the Last Conservative.
In response to recent support of defunding by President-elect Donald Trump, the bands will be joining the cause and donating all proceeds from the door to Planned Parenthood.
The Christmas Party 12, 10 p.m. Dec. 25 at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery (76 Pearl St.), $20 - $25.
Once family time is over, head back into the city for the 12th presentation of the annual Christmas Party. Organized by electronic music promoter MNM Presents, the long-running EDM party will once again take over the Pearl Street institution all night long. Patrons can bounce between five different rooms, including a silent disco for VIP ticket holders, featuring sets from some of the area's best DJs and producers including Mario Bee, Rufus Gibson and Paul Kuenzi.
