Two 14-year-old boys were arrested early Sunday in separate incidents in Orchard Park, town police reported.
Officers responded about 1:15 a.m. to Orchard Park Middle School on South Lincoln Avenue after an alarm was activated, police said in a news release. Officers and maintenance personnel found evidence the building had been entered and police began a foot pursuit with a juvenile who was caught in a wooded lot nearby, according to the release.
The youth's parents were notified and he was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, fifth-degree possession of stolen property and possession of burglar's tools.
About three hours later, a Hodson Road resident called police to report footprints in the snow around his vehicles in the driveway. Officers tracked the footprints to a residence on Milestrip Road where a youth admitted to taking items from at least one vehicle, police said.
He was charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree possession of stolen property and released to his parents on an appearance ticket.
Anyone who suspects their car was entered is asked to call Orchard Park Police at 662-6444.
