FAVREAU, Edward Robert

FAVREAU - Edward Robert Passed away on November 10, 2016, from COPD, in Bakersfield, CA. He was born June 14, 1946, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He was the son of George and Margaret Favreau of Lancaster, NY. He leaves behind his wife of forty-seven years, Susan, his daughter Jacqueline, grandchildren Carolyn and Mark, son-in-law Brad James, brother, George Favreau and sister Denise Casey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Enser. He grew up in Lancaster and attended St. Mary's Catholic grammar school and high school. He was a four-year varsity football player for St. Mary's, and graduated in 1964. Ed enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966. He was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam as a minesweeper. Edward married Susan Valencia of Montebello, California in 1969. They met while Ed was based at Camp Pendleton, California. Edward graduated from USC with a BS in Business and worked in the financial services field. He then received a Master in Education. He was passionate about history, science and politics. He enjoyed camping, fishing and just taking in the beauty of nature. He loved football and his two favorite teams were USC and the Patriots. Everyone who met him liked him. He was friendly, outgoing and a genuine good guy. More importantly, Ed was a wonderful husband, father and granddad. He believed strongly in family values and his country. A Funeral Mass was celebrated November 22, 2016 at Saint Angela Merici Church in Brea CA. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
