How many people in your neighborhood read the Bible on a weekly basis?
If you live in Buffalo, the answer is lower than the national average.
With 13 percent of residents surveyed reporting as "Bible-minded," Buffalo was listed as one of the least Bible-minded cities in the Barna Group and American Bible Society's 2016 survey of the top 100 U.S. media markets.
The annual survey defined "Bible-minded" as "respondents who said they had read the Bible in the past seven day"s and "believe strongly in the accuracy of the Bible."
The only areas that ranked even lower than Buffalo with even less Bible-mindedness were:
- Cedar Rapids/Waterloo, Iowa
- Providence, R.I./New Bedford, Mass.
- Boston, Mass./Manchester, N.H.
- Albany/Schenectady/Troy, N.Y.
Chattanooga, Tenn., was ranked first as the most Bible-minded city in America.
