Falls doctor joins Niagara County Board of Health

LOCKPORT - Dr. Justin D. Miller, owner of Niagara Ear Nose & Throat in Niagara Falls, has been appointed to a six-year term on the Niagara County Board of Health.

The County Legislature confirmed the appointment Tuesday, after Miller was recommended by the Board of Health. By law, at least three of the board's 10 members must be physicians.

The board chose Miller, a Youngstown resident, over Dr. Donna A. Feldman, an obstetrician and gynecologist from Lewiston who also applied for the position. She is the co-owner of Women's Medicine of Niagara.

Miller succeeds Dr. Robert M. Bauer of Lockport, whose term on the board had expired. The board also chose Dr. Thomas F. Hughes of Lockport as its president for 2017, succeeding John Gotowko, a pharmacist from North Tonawanda. Thomas A. Sy of Lockport, CEO of Aspire of Western New York, will serve as vice president.
