Akron man admits membership in online child porn exchange

An Akron man  pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Richard J.  Arcara Wednesday to possession of child pornography.

Robert J. Strach, 54,  admitted to being active in an online exchange of child pornography. On  March 7 agents of the Federal Homeland Securities Investigations' Child Exploitation Unit raided his home and seized his desktop computer with  two hard drives containing 76 videos and 273 images of child pornography, some depicting children younger  than 12  and others showing  scenes of violence.

Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy Jr. said he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when sentenced March 24.
