MALCOS, Edward L.

MALCOS - Edward L. Of Lackawanna, NY, born March 1, 1916 and passed away December 4, 2016, of natural causes at age 100+; beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Noworyta) Malcos; dearest father of Ann Marie (Warren) Hubbard, E. Michael (Susan), Lee (Marian) and JoAnn (Paul) Hammer; dear uncle of Gerald Szymczak; also survived by a large loving family of 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11 AM at Queen of Angels Parish, Electric and Warsaw Sts., Lackawanna (Please Assemble at the Church). Mr. Malcos served in the National Guard Artillery from 1932-40 and the US Army from 1940-46 advancing to the rank of First Lieutenant. He attended Fredonia State College where he received his teaching degree. Mr. Malcos taught social studies in the Buffalo Public Schools for 30 years. He and his late wife Joan, a retired Lackawanna elementary school teacher for 38 years, enjoyed traveling, family, and church activities. Flowers are graciously declined. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Adult Day Services, 4540 Southwestern Blvd. where Mr. Malcos attended for the past several years. Share condolences at
