NIAGARA FALLS - Two men apparently unsatisfied how police investigated the theft of their car ended up under arrest early Saturday.
Giovanni V. Filipelli, 19, of Calkins Road, Youngstown, and Michael S. Harvey, 18, of Bedell Road, Grand Island were charged with disorderly conduct.
Police responded to 13th Street and Whitney Avenue after one of the men reported that his grandmother’s 1993 Ford Focus was stolen. Police said the man drove the car to a house party, and reported the keys were stolen from his pocket during the party. Police said they conducted a search of the area but were unable to find the car.
The two told police they had no money and no one to call. Police, who said both appeared to be intoxicated, offered to drive them to the nearby Metro Bus terminal, where they could arrange transportation.
However, when they were dropped off, police said, the two became belligerent about how the investigation was handled and they were taken into custody.
The stolen car was later located, locked and abandoned, in an alley between 19th and 20th streets.
