Charles Clay not on team flight as his wife is expecting

The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that tight end Charles Clay did not take the team plane to Oakland for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

That's because Clay's wife, Tenia, is expecting a baby. The Bills said Clay's game status is questionable.

If Clay misses the game, Nick O'Leary would be next in line at the position. The team added tight end Gerald Christian to the active roster Saturday from the practice squad, making room by releasing kickoff specialist Jordan Gay.

The Bills have Logan Thomas on the roster at tight end, but the converted quarterback is expected to be inactive against the Raiders as he learns the position.
