1954: Frank L. Ciminelli founds residential construction company.
1960: Frank Ciminelli expands into general contracting and concrete as Frank L. Ciminelli Construction Co.
1987: Louis Ciminelli returns to work for his father, with the aim of eventually buying out the company. He becomes president and CEO.
1989: Louis Ciminelli heads Ciminelli Construction's purchase of local construction management firm, which jump starts the company's construction management business.
1996: Louis Ciminelli completes nine-year process of buying his father's company and changes the name to Louis P. Ciminelli Construction Co. Inc.
2002: The company wins a $1 billion, 10-year contract to renovate dozens of Buffalo schools. The project would eventually cost $1.3 billion, with final payments currently in dispute over cost overruns.
2004: Louis P. Ciminelli Cos. changes name to LPCiminelli.
February-March 2016: LPCiminelli is selected to construct $900 million SolarCity plant at RiverBend as part of the state's taxpayer-funded development program known as the Buffalo Billion.
September 2016: Louis Ciminelli and two other executives are arrested and charged with bid-rigging.
