Back in May, city officials announced a gender-neutral bathroom would be created in the basement floor of City Hall, not too far from the existing public restrooms.
I recently walked down there, to check it out, and found that, indeed, the gender-neutral bathroom exists. And it's handicappled accessible, and also kid-friendly (with a baby changing area) as well.
Meanwhile, still no upgrades to the remaining City Hall public bathrooms that city officials last June said will be getting a much-needed facelift.
Change is coming
Hal Payne, the long-time Buffalo State VP for Student Affairs, isn't just retiring from Buffalo State College. He'll also soon be leaving his post as a mayoral appointee to the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Could be other commissioner changes, I hear, coming up as well, possibly at the BMHA's December meeting.
