WESTFIELD – The Chautauqua County Historical Society is saying goodbye to 2016 with its annual Holiday Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, in the McClurg Museum, Moore Park.
The open house is an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the museum and the historical society. Admission is free.
Music will be provided by The McClurg Street String Band, made up of music students from Westfield Academy and Central School, and directed by Westfield Academy music director Kent Knappenberger. Also featured are refreshments and desserts provided by members and friends of the historical society.
The open house is designed to show off new items, exhibits and renovations and also recruit new members. The annual membership of $20 and provides free admission to the museum and a mailed subscription to the Timelines newsletter, which comes out five times a year.
