Dec. 4 – Final day, Western Zone waterfowls seasons for ducks, coots and mergansers. The season will reopen on Dec. 31.

Dec. 5-17 – Beaver Island, West River Parkway, Strawberry Island and Motor Island waterfowl blinds will be available through call in only at 773-2010 from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. The first call-in is Dec. 2.
Dec. 6 – Niagara Musky Association Christmas Party Time Change meeting starting at 6 p.m. at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad Street, Tonawanda. Cost is $10 per person.
Dec. 7 - Eighth “2 The Outdoors” Environmental Forum to be held at Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Boulevard, Buffalo starting at 7:30 p.m. Featured speakers will include Beaver Meadow Naturalist Mark Carra talking about bears; Tifft’s own David Spiering talking about whitetailed deer; and author Gerry Rising talking about birds.
