If you’re looking for a new place to take your parents, try Murphy Brown’s Craft Beer Empourium, at Main Street and Goodrich Road in Clarence.
Murphy Brown’s, which opened in the summer of 2015, hopes to provide a new dining experience for all.
As they enter, patrons should feel comfortable and enjoy being there. The main room features a lounge area with soft couches and a fireplace where visitors can relax, and there is an event room for parties and gatherings.
Co-owners Ren’ee and Drew Brown were originally going to open a bakery, however they instead decided on an establishment that could serve many different types of food and beer.
"The backstory behind Murphy Brown’s was my wife’s baking. She wanted to open up a bakery dessert shop in Clarence," Drew Brown said. "I suggested to her that maybe we pair her desserts with beer, and she quickly said, ‘OK, let’s do it.’ "
From there, the Browns worked through the process required to start their dream business. "As they say, the rest is history," Brown said.
Murphy Brown’s offers 25 different craft beers from around the world.
However, more than just beer is available at Murphy Brown’s.
From fish sandwiches to pizzas, Murphy Brown’s has items that people of all ages can enjoy.
"We don’t think we close the door on children at all," said Brown. "In our cold coolers, we have sodas … those are not here for the adults. Those are here for younger people to enjoy." In addition, there are seasonal offerings, such as pumpkin pie in the fall, on the menu.
Murphy Brown’s also has an app with reward options. Brown said, "You get an opportunity to earn punches for food purchases. There’s also a reward punch for buying beer. When you accumulate 10 punches, you get a $10 gift card."
Murphy Brown’s Craft Beer Empourium welcomes families.
"Come one, come all, have fun and enjoy," Brown said.
