Lockport's Bond-Hawley House open for Sunday tours in December

LOCKPORT - The Col. William Bond/Jesse Hawley House, the oldest brick house in Lockport, will be open for holiday season tours from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, as well as Dec. 11 and 18.

The house at 143 Ontario St. is owned by the Niagara History Center and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Each room of the house has been decorated by curators Becky and Gloria Pittler in the style of a department store window from a different decade. The "Christmas in the City" exhibit is free, but donations are welcome.
