Sweets Lounge was ordered closed Monday evening by Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown and Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda, following the shooting of three women this weekend.
Brown told The Buffalo News at about 8:30 p.m. Monday that he ordered the immediate closure of the lounge -- at Olympic and Schreck avenues -- because of "a number of incidents" at the establishment, including Sunday's shooting.

Police continue to investigate the shootings of three women in the lounge just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
The victims, in their late 20s to mid-30s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Michael J. DeGeorge, a spokesman for the Buffalo police.
The mayor said the closure notice was posted on the door of the lounge early Monday evening.
"My administration is very pro-business but when business owners cannot maintain peace and order and endanger the community my administration will not tolerate that," Brown said.
