A Niagara Falls man faces DWI charges after crashing his vehicle into a pole at Delaware and Harriet Street in the City of Tonawanda early Saturday morning, police reported.
Alfred C. Dixon, 53, of 67th Street in Niagara Falls told officers “he was drinking beer at an art show in Buffalo."
He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, reckless driving, imprudent speed and speeding.
Dixon failed to negotiate the slight curve and his minivan left the road striking the pole. Dixon, who was not injured, was arrested and returned to the police station. He registered a blood-alcohol level of .20 percent.
