Buffalo man is victim of fatal shooting in Jamestown

A 26-year-old Buffalo man was the victim of a fatal shooting on Thanksgiving morning in Jamestown, which was the precursor to at least two more shootings in that Southern Tier city,  police said.

Allan B. Burnett Jr. of Buffalo died in front of 129 S. Main St. following a disturbance about 4 a.m. Thursday.

Two others also were shot and suffered non-life-threatening wounds, police said.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge to contact them at 483-7537 or on the tip line at 483-8477.

More shooting broke out in Jamestown Thursday afternoon. Police were called to Falconer Street near Thayer after reports of a several shots fired at a moving vehicle. No injuries were reported.

And on Friday afternoon, police responded to a report of several shots fired of an occupant of an apartment.

It is believed the shootings are targeted and not random.
