Immaculata Academy to auction equipment

Educational equipment and furniture from the former Immaculata Academy in Hamburg will be sold by Cash Realty & Auctions to the highest bidders at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at 5138 South Park Avenue.

The school closed its doors for good six months ago.

Items for sale include 20 smart boards, 20 HD projectors, 20 DVD and VHS players, student desks, tables, wall and file cabinets, chairs, bookshelves, art supplies, science supplies, lab equipment, printers, auditorium sound and light boards, speakers, curtains, a piano, gym scoreboards, sports equipment, restaurant equipment and ladders.

A preview will be held before the auction at 8:30 a.m.

Separately, Waterbourne Real Estate Advisors has been hired by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph to handle the sale of the 28.1-acre property, including the two-story, 46,500-square-foot brick school building. The asking price is $3.4 million.
