Fire companies battle Thanksgiving Day fire at Big O Farms in Elba

Several volunteer fire companies from Genesee and Niagara counties responded to a Thanksgiving Day fire that destroyed an onion storage warehouse at Big O Farms in the Genesee County town of Elba, Ch. 2 and other media are reporting.

Because there are no hydrants in the area, firefighters had to transport water to the site. According to Niagara County FireWire, Barker and Wolcottsville tankers were among those requested by Genesee County to stand by for help supplying water to battle the blaze.
