Capt. Chris Cinelli of Grand Island managed to catch this monster muskellunge in the upper Niagara River, a 48-inch fish that would probably tip the scales at over 35 pounds.
Dave Todd, 14, from Gasport, scored the first buck of his life opening weekend of the regular season while hunting with family friends in Barker. The massive 16-point green score is around 210 inches and has an inside spread of 22 inches. The Roy Hart freshman downed the 200-pound animal with one shot from his Remington 1100 at 25 yards.
Dr. Chuck Pelitera from Pendleton shot this 11-point buck with a 24-inch inside spreadin Basom at 120 yards with a 300 short magnum.
Mike and Jason Johannes of Ransomville each took their own trophy bucks from Niagara County. Mike (the father) took his 180-pound, 10-pointer on Veterans Day during the early archery season. The rack green scores just under 140 inches.
