Buffalo film commissioner to give talk at Daemen

Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner Tim Clark will talk about the growth of moviemaking in Western New York when he speaks in the Daemen College Distinguished Leaders Lecture Series at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Alumni Lounge in the Wick Campus Center. His talk is free and open to the public.

Clark will discuss the economic impact that film production has had on the region and will focus on two major features, “Marshall,” for which scenes were shot in Daemen’s president’s residence, and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.” A former director of news operations at WKBW-TV, Clark has been film commissioner since 2006 and recently was elected to the board of directors of the Association of Film Commissioners International.
