After barely catching its breath, Night Slaves is back at it to share another new cassette at 8 p.m. Nov. 25 in Mohawk Place (47 E. Mohawk St.).
The collaborative duo of JOHNS/Alpha Hopper guitarist John Toohill and longtime Buffalo musician/composer David Kane (Them Jazzbeards, DKQ) has been steadily releasing its brand of dark and provocative industrial music since emerging in the spring of 2015.
Night Slaves' latest, the limited release "2.5 (It's a Numbers Game)," is a quick follow up to the pair's October sophomore cassette "Night Slaves II."
"This 4 song EP is a slide deep into drugged madness, live improvised vocal takes, psychedelic noise and harsh, yet bizarrely catchy grooves," the duo said in a previously released statement.
Rounding out the electronic geared bill is the haunting and anxious soundspace artist Sparklebomb, Rochester chiptune musician SBthree and the downtemp lo-fi act Ex-Pat.
Cover is $5 at the door. Further event details can be found here.
