Bills-Bengals injury report: Marcell Dareus set to return

Bills defensive tackle Corbin Bryant didn't practice all week with a shoulder injury and will miss his second straight game Sunday against the Bengals, coach Rex Ryan said Friday. But the defensive line is expected to get a boost by the return of Marcell Dareus.

"I don't want to cat myself, but I'm feeling pretty good about the big man," Ryan said of Dareus, who was limited in practice all week by a groin injury.

The game will mark Dareus' second appearance of the season. He was suspended the first four games, missed the next three with a hamstring injury, played against the Patriots and then missed the Seahawks game with a groin injury.

Receiver Justin Hunter was added to the injury report Friday with a groin injury and will be questionable for the game.

Other notes from Rex Ryan Friday:

-- Ryan Groy will start at center: Players spoke as if Groy would start all week, and Ryan made it official Friday. It will be Groy's fourth career start and first since 2014.

-- The Bills could dress eight offensive linemen: Offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn said Thursday that Jordan Mills, Seantrel Henderson and Cyrus Kouandjio could all see time at right tackle. With the Bills also expected to dress both Groy and Patrick Lewis for the first game without center Eric Wood, that would make eight offensive linemen, which is a lot.

"There’s no doubt that could be" the case, Ryan said of not dressing one of the three players in rotation at right tackle, "but we may go with eight offensive linemen also."

-- Safety James Ihedigbo will play: Ihedigbo, who played for Ryan on the Jets, was signed on Tuesday when the Bills released Duke Williams.

"He’s done really well," Ryan said. "I'm confident if we have to play him, he’ll do a really good job. I think he will play in this game. He’s going to play. How big a role that is, probably don’t know."

-- Defensive backs will rotate, but there's no decision on the starters yet: "We’ll see," Ryan said. "A lot of those guys had some really good work and a good week of preparation and have had some really good practices. ... (Groy in for Wood) is really the only lineup change that I’m comfortable saying right now."
