53-year-old pedestrian hospitalized after being struck in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS - A 53-year-old Niagara Falls man suffered a head injury and was hospitalized after he was struck by a car while walking on Krull Parkway on Friday morning, according to city police.

Emergency responders were called to Krull Parkway near 82nd Street, just south of Niagara Falls Boulevard, at about 7:35 a.m., police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and then transferred to Erie County Medical Center, said Niagara Falls Police Traffic Division Capt. Angela Munn.

The driver, identified as a 26-year-old man from Niagara Falls, cooperated with police and passed field tests given at the scene, Munn said. The incident remains under investigation.
