After a few days off, we're back and ready for another big weekend in high school sports. Get yourself ready for today's #PrepTalkLive action with everything you need to know about the day ahead in high school sports.
What to watch for Thursday
1. Football - Monsignor Martin Championship
1-Canisius (8-2) vs. 2-St. Francis (4-5), 6 p.m. at New Era Field
Canisius' November revenge tour rolls on after a huge win over Bishop Timon-St, Jude last Saturday. Next up is the team that ended its three-year reign as Monsignor Martin champs last year: St. Francis. Crusaders running back RaeQwon Greer and receiver Paul Woods are threats to score every time they touch the ball. Mason Hoose and Cole Burniston lead a stout defense that only gives up 12 points per game.
St. Francis avenged a loss of their own last Friday when they topped St. Joe's, and the Red Raiders are hoping to do the same tonight after a 55-13 Week Four loss to Canisius. A running attack led by Dylan McDuffie has been coming on strong late in the season, which has taken some of the pressure off of Western New York all-time passing yards leader Jerry Hickson and the rest of the offense.
Today's schedule can be found at our high school scoreboard.
