University at Buffalo women's volleyball players Cassie Shado and Scout McLerran were honored Wednesday by the Mid-American Conference. Shado was named All-MAC first team after lading the conference in hitting percentage (.400). She is just the third UB player ever named to the All-MAC first team.
McLerran, a freshman setter, was named to the league's All-Freshman team after she finished the season with 1,005 assists,
Maryellen Devic, a senior middle hitter from Orchard Park, again was named a Northeast-10 Conference All League. Devic closed her career at College of St. Rose in Albany with 1,231 career kills. She has been a first team all-conference selection for the last three years.
