Sabres Notebook: Three sent to Amerks; auctions & more

When the Sabres have a few days between games, they occupy them by sending players to Rochester. The carousel continued Sunday.

Buffalo sent defenseman Justin Falk and forwards Nick Baptiste and Cole Schneider back to the Amerks. The Sabres’ next game is Tuesday in St. Louis, and uncertain injury statuses could force recalls Monday before Buffalo flies to Missouri.

Baptiste has two goals in 10 games with the Sabres, taking 10 shots while averaging 8:44 per night. Schneider has appeared in two games, recording one assist and four shots with 7:48 of ice time per game.

Falk, who replaced injured defenseman Dmitry Kulikov during the weekend’s two games against New Jersey, was minus-1 while skating 13:34.
