Chad Kelly's audition for NFL scouts is over.
Kelly, the Ole Miss quarterback and NFL draft prospect who graduated from St. Joe's Collegiate Institute in 2012, suffered a severe knee injury in Saturday's win against Georgia Southern and will miss the remainder of the season.
The team announced Sunday that Kelly has a torn ACL and a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee, according to multiple reports. The Clarion Ledger reported Kelly will undergo surgery this week. The injury would appear to keep him out of the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins in late February.
Kelly also suffered a torn right ACL during the 2013 spring game at Clemson.
Kelly was reportedly able to walk off the field after the hit. He is the nephew of Bills great Jim Kelly.

Chad Kelly tore his ACL and lateral meniscus on Saturday. Out for the year.
Hard to overstate how much that loss means.

One of worst parts of coaching is seniors having season ending injuries. So thankful for how Chad & Youngblood competed and lead our program
