State Legislature races

State Senate (59th District): Three-term Republican State Senator Patrick Gallivan is facing his first challenger ever in Democrat Tom Casey.

State Senate (60th District): Democrat Amber Small and Republican Chris Jacobs are competing for this open seat that was vacated by Democrat Marc Panepinto.

State Senate (61st District): Incumbent Republican State Senator Michael Ranzenhofer is being challenged by Democrat Thomas Loughran, who is currently an Erie County legislator.

Assembly (140th District): Democrat Robin Schimminger is running for reelection while facing a challenger from Republican Danielle Rotolo and Green Party candidate Anthony Baney.

Assembly (141st District): Incumbent Democrat Crystal Peoples-Stokes is running for reelection while facing a challenge from Republican Ross Kostecky.

Assembly (142nd District): Incumbent Democrat Mickey Kearns is running for reelection unopposed.

Assembly (143rd District): Democrat Monica Wallace and Republican Russell Sugg are vying for this open seat vacated by Angela Wozniak.

Assembly (144th District): Incumbent Democrat Sean Ryan is being challenged by Republican Arnold Kacalski.

Assembly (145th District): Incumbent Democrat John Ceretto is facing a challenge from Republican Angelo Morinello.

Assembly (146th District): Incumbent Republican Raymond Walter is facing a challenge from Democrat Steve Meyer.

Supreme Court: Voters will choose two people to fill two open State Supreme Court seats. Four people are running: Democrat Lynn Wessel Keane, Democrat Grace Hanlon, Republican Daniel Furlong and Republican Mary Slisz.

House of Representatives (23rd District): Incumbent Republican Tom Reed is facing a stuff challenge from Democrat John Plumb.

House of Representatives (26th District): Incumbent Democrat Brian Higgins is being challenged by Republican Shelly Schratz.

House of Representatives (27th District): Incumbent Republican Chris Collins is facing a challenge from Democrat Diane Kastenbaum.

Senate: Incumbent Democrat Charles Schumer is facing challenger Republican Wendy Long.

President: Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump vie for president.

Municipalities

Cheektowaga Town Board: Voters will choose from Democrat Alice Magierski, Republican Patrick J. Delaney and Dennis A. Smith Jr. on the Working Families line.

Clarence Town Board: Incumbent Republican Paul Shear is being challenged by Democrat Timothy Tryjankowski.

Newstead Town Board: Incumbent Republican Edmund Burke is being challenged by Democrat Linda Chaffee.

Orchard Park Local Law #1: Voters will choose whether to approve spending up to $16 million to build the center at Brush Mountain.
