State Police charged a West Seneca man with aggravated driving while intoxicated and a Depew woman with DWI at a sobriety checkpoint Saturday near the Elma-West Seneca border.
Troopers set up the checkpoint on Transit Road and more than 600 vehicles passed through it, according to police.
Daren Heeb, 49, registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly triple the legal limit. He has an upcoming date in Elma Town Court, police said.
Kelly Igoe, 29, of Depew refused to consent to a breath test and was charged with driving while intoxicated. In addition to an upcoming date in Elma Town Court, she will also have a hearing before the Department of Motor Vehicles for failing to submit to a chemical test.
Troopers made four arrests for drug offenses. West Seneca police also charged a person with felony DWI, State Police said.
