Green Code meetings scheduled

The Buffalo Common Council has scheduled two public hearings this month before a vote is expected in the coming weeks on the Buffalo Green Code.

The Green Code, which is six years in the making, was written to reflect zoning and land use planning in the 21st century, and bring direction, uniformity and simplicity to the process.

If approved, it would mark the first comprehensive changes to the City Code since 1953, and to land use planning since 1977.

The public hearings will be held 6 p.m. Nov. 14 and 2 p.m. Nov. 22 in Common Council Chambers, 13th Floor, City Hall, 65 Niagara Square.
