BOSKAT, George Charles, Sr.

BOSKAT - George Charles, Sr. August 18, 1922 - October 27, 2016
Formerly of Eggertsville, NY, George was preceded through the pearly gates by his beloved wife of 65 years, Anna Marie (Dudak) Boskat. The father of Susan Boskat (Thomas I.) Murray of Walkertown, NC, and George C. (Jerri) Boskat, Jr. of Clarence, NY, is also survived by four grandchildren.
George grew up in the Old First Ward of Buffalo, NY. He worked in the grain elevators and served in the US Navy before working 25 years with the US Post Office, Station B. He enjoyed hunting, golf, bowling, roller skating,
dancing, umpiring and playing baseball, boxing, the beach, and long drives. He was an accomplished woodworker and lifelong member of the NRA.
A hearty handshake, a quick smile, and a bit of mischief in his eyes identified George as a generous and kind man who loved others deeply. We will miss his feisty personality, but we rejoice in his ultimate healing, knowing that our separation is only temporary. He is at last reunited with his beautiful Annie!
"Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to his great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you." (1 Peter 1:3-4)
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the NRA, Merrifield, VA. Online condolences may be made to www.salemfh.com.
