Man, 26, arrested following two stabbings on Kensington Avenue

A Buffalo man has been arrested in connection with the stabbings of a man and woman during an incident on Kensington Avenue on Thursday night, Buffalo Police reported Friday.

Dennis Howard Jr., 26, was taken into custody on Winspear Avenue and charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to Buffalo Police Department spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge.

One of the two people stabbed, a 25-year-old man, is in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center, according to police.

The other person stabbed, a 20-year-old woman, is in stable condition at ECMC, DeGeorge said.

According to police, the incident happened at 1015 Kensington Ave., just after 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Howard was arrested following investigative work by Buffalo police officers and Homicide Squad detectives. Howard remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center on Friday night.
